Moments

I waited for the golden moments,
Moments that I expected to come with a golden smile,
Those which froze time in eternity,
Those which would give me the wings to fly.

I waited for those golden moments,
Waited long in vain.
As I turned back, I saw a thousand moments,
Each of them in tears.

Each of them wept, for I was blind to them.
They moved farther and farther away from me.
And as I gazed at them,
Another passed, dropping a tear.

  1. a good meaningful poem. i like it. we always get trapped in the past and the future, and forget to live in the present.

  2. @Rivier: Happy to know you liked the poem. Yes, we often forget to see the value of the present.
